At last !!! a great ! photo festival in Britain , with martin parr doing a wonderful curation showing us the unknown billy monk to the fringe which again amazing , Jason evan’s curation of 90’s social documentary is done so well ,you see the work as it was meant to be seen , simply and all on a level pegging with each other, and it didn’t look to expensive to put up on the wall , at last good comes from no money. Alec soth gives a masterclass on how to work with your environment even though you might not feel it at the beginning, (gets his daughter to play a game with photos around brighton after immigration gives him a hard time) its so good….. That and the beauty that is art nurse spreading gold glitter + good will to all and taking the serious edge of art and replacing with humour . Thanks brighton I believe again x
