History repeating itself politically against the police and government yes! Then came the looting, later ,which went on and on. So the riots came to Deptford high st on their way back from Lewisham The looting started about 7 Monday evening taking out Barclays bank , hsbc, pawnbrokers x 2, jewellers, William hill x 2, greggs. The police all 12 of them turned up around 11 to secure the barclays bank and make the public walk past a burning car outside the Albany rather than walk past the bank.on the high st. During that lawless time everyone was looking to the youth to see what was going to happen! not the authorities. In fact the authorities were looking towards the cctv to see what would happen. When I saw 2 men walking out of the smashed and looted barclays bank on Deptford high st at 7 ish Monday evening with a handful of pens , and nothing covering their identity, I found them to be more brave than the bankers which have looted this country and got away with it, those 2 kids will probably spend 6-18 months in prison at the current rate for stealing pens. When I saw the smashed William hill betting shops I imagined the kids venting their anger against 8 betting shops on the Deptford high st and their dads spending all their money in them. Same with the pawnbrokers. These photos are a look on the high st taken over the last 6 weeks in the lead up to the troubles, there is nothing incriminating here , only people living their lives out on a street in south east London .
