New edition printed 2022 includes 5 years later.

Originally published by AKA in 2017, this new edition

contains 5 years later. The Deptford Anchor a popular hang out for Deptford locals

was installed in 1988 and remained till 2013 when Lewisham Council gentrified

the High St. A five year campaign began to re-install the

Anchor and due to public pressure, it was returned in 2018

without any seating area for locals to hang out.

The photos in the book were taken between 2007-2013 and 2018-2022.

rip anker is the alternative document of the before and after of the

gentrification of Deptford High St. If you have an interest in

street culture and South East London,

this is a must have publication.
